The three tiers

What each one is, and what it is not

Launch

$2,500one-time

Care plan
$150/mo
Timeline
2 weeks

A five-page site that works on a phone, sends enquiries to your inbox, and is findable on Google. The cheapest way to stop paying for a website you do not have.

The pages

5 pages — Home, Services, About, Contact, Request a Quote

What’s included

  • Mobile-first design on Superuser’s standard template, in your colours, your logo, your fonts
  • The 5 pages listed — no substitutions without a change order
  • Click-to-call and click-to-text buttons on mobile
  • Contact form and quote request form, both delivered to your inbox
  • Basic on-page SEO: unique title and description per page, one H1 per page, image alt text, XML sitemap, robots.txt, Google indexing setup
  • Google Analytics 4 with conversion tracking on both forms
  • SSL certificate and hosting set up
  • One 45-minute training call, screen-share, using your own content
  • 30 days of post-launch fixes at no charge

What’s not included

  • service area pages
  • ongoing SEO
  • ads
  • a blog
  • photography
  • copywriting
  • any page beyond the 5 listed

One condition

This one has a condition, and it is not optional: you supply the text and at least 6 usable photos. If I write the copy it is $400 per page. If I shoot the photos it is $600 per half-day.

Commerce

$12,500one-time

Care plan
$750/mo
Timeline
6 weeks

Everything in Growth, plus a working store that takes money through your own payment account. The customer pays you directly. It never passes through me.

The pages

Everything in Growth, plus a working online store of up to 100 products

What’s included

  • Online store, up to 100 products
  • Payments — Stripe or PayPal, chosen at kickoff — wired to your own account. Money goes from the customer to you, and it never passes through me
  • Tax and shipping configuration, including flat-rate and free-shipping-over-threshold rules
  • Order confirmation and fulfilment notification emails, branded to your business
  • Full checkout QA, including two live test transactions refunded to your card
  • One 60-minute staff training session, recorded and sent to you
  • A written order-management guide: placing orders, refunds, shipping, and what to do when something breaks
  • In the care plan: the monthly report, plus store and payment monitoring and a quarterly store review

What’s not included

  • custom web app work
  • product customisation or 3D viewers
  • subscriptions or recurring orders
  • marketplace integrations such as Etsy, Amazon or eBay
  • more than 100 products
  • international shipping

One condition

Product entry is not bundled, on purpose: you upload the products after the training session. It is about 20 hours of data entry, and folding it into a fixed price only makes the project run late. If you would rather I do it, it is $15 per SKU.

Why the ladder looks like this

Where your money actually goes between tiers

Launch is priced per hour lower than the others — on purpose

2.4× the pages for 2.6× the price looks thin on a spreadsheet. I checked it anyway and kept the number. Launch is the entry offer, and the entry offer should be the easiest yes on the page.

Growth’s extra $4,000 is not buying more pages

It buys keyword research, page-level keyword mapping, structured data, a Google Business Profile optimisation pass, a templated service-area system, a second booking form, and a written report every month. The scope that is not proportional to page count is the SEO foundation — and that is the part which decides whether this tier is worth anything in year two.

If you book jobs rather than sell products, Growth is your ceiling, and I will not talk you into Commerce.

Commerce costs the most because it is the least repeatable

Six straight weeks of calendar, payments, tax rules, shipping zones, and checkout testing on real devices — the most ways to go wrong in the whole ladder. That is worth a higher rate, and I would rather the price said so than have the project run late and hand you an invoice for the overrun.

The one that trips people up

Ongoing SEO at $500/mo includes your care plan. If you take the SEO programme you are never billed both, which is why it is $500 rather than $500 on top of $450. Paid ads management is separate and does not include a care plan — ads work is not maintenance work.

The monthly fee

What every care plan includes

$150/month on Launch, $450/month on Growth, $750/month on Commerce. Billed monthly in advance, month-to-month, 30 days’ notice to cancel, no exit fee.

In every care plan

  • Uptime monitoring, and daily backups with a tested restore
  • Security patches and software updates
  • SSL and domain renewal management
  • Up to 2 small content edits a month — text, an image swap, your phone number, your hours
  • Up to 2 hours of small changes a month
  • A monthly email
  • Same-business-day response on anything that breaks

Growth adds a written monthly report with real numbers. Commerce adds store and payment monitoring plus a quarterly store review.

Not in any care plan

  • new pages
  • redesigns
  • new features
  • an SEO program
  • ads management
  • ad spend

That boundary is deliberate. A care plan that grows without limit stops being a monthly fee and starts being a subscription to my availability — which is how agencies end up resenting their clients. Anything on that list gets a written price instead.

If you leave

Send 30 days’ notice, pay the final month, and take your domain, your content, and your site’s source code with you at no charge. I will walk you through deploying it anywhere, within 10 business days of the final invoice.

No hosting hostage and no migration fee. The value is that the site keeps working and you can get hold of me — not that leaving is a problem for me. If that is a strange thing for an agency to offer, it should be. It is the difference between a retainer you stay for and a partner you stay with.

A fixed price only works if the scope is fixed with it.

I quote fixed prices to local businesses because that is how a business owner buys. That works when we agree the list up front — which is what the first call is for, and it is the cheapest insurance in this entire page. I can hold that line for six weeks on one project. I cannot hold it for open-ended “make it great” work, and if that is what you need I will say I am the wrong fit rather than sign a fixed price and quietly resent the project for a year.
